We are incredibly excited to announce the launch of our new i-MPOWER Mentoring project focussing on young people supported by Awards 4 All. 

We are recruiting young people (16-24 years) who are Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET), living in Brent and Shepherds Bush.

Our learners will benefit from undergoing their own mentoring journey, our team will support each learner through our mentoring process to overcome their personal barriers, which will equip them to gain new skills, key knowledge, build self-confidence and confidently take important steps towards their long-term employment and growth.

Our small team of professionals are dedicated to excellence and committed to ensuring the most vulnerable People within our community, have access to valuable and meaningful, life changing personal and professional development designed to change lives, engage with families and to improve sustainable employment opportunities.

We are offering a fully accredited Vocational Level 1 Mentoring qualification. This training programme is delivered over 10 weeks. Our goal is to create a pool of skilled, empowered and confident young people, focussed and highly competent Mentors who will help to inspire and support their peers, change mind-sets and positively strengthen our community as volunteers.

How Will This Qualification Help?

With this qualification young people are prepared for life and work.

This qualification allows learners to understand the role of a mentor and be aware of the skills needed to become an effective mentor. The aims of the qualification are to help learners to:

  • Develop and gain key skills and insight into the role and practice of mentorship
  • Be clear about Mentor/Mentee relationships
  • Ensure Mentor follows good practice
  • Be aware of the specific skills and understanding they will require in order to Mentor
  • Review/Reflect on their own learning and work performance
  • This qualification enables the learner to seek employment opportunities as a Mentor
